Restaurant Week 2018 Pairs Deals With Great Food

For dsm magazine's 11th annual Restaurant Week, which runs from Aug. 17 to 26, 36 of Des Moines' favorite dining spots will be offering great fixed-priced menus for lunch and dinner.  

The weeklong event features two lunches or one three-course dinner for $28. The metro area’s innovative and talented chefs will create special meals that will showcase their palate-pleasing cuisine at pocketbook-pleasing prices.

Gloom's Oasis

Scarce Elementz, a nationally recognized mural and graffiti crew, presents "Gloom's Oasis," the group's first all-Iowa indoor art show. An opening reception will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Viaduct Gallery with art for sale and live music by DJ Touchnice. Learn more

August Modern Dance Concert

Four professional dance companies will hold the first annual August Modern Dance Concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at Grand View Viking Theatre.
