Combine food, drinks and an architectural tour, and what do you get? Eat. Drink. Architecture., the Iowa Architectural Foundation's annual fundraiser that takes you to different eateries, bars and buildings in downtown Des Moines.There are four start times for tomorrow's tour — noon, 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. — all beginning at the Iowa Taproom and moving on to
Truman's KC Pizza Tavern and the Royal Mile before returning to the Iowa Taproom. Each stop will have appetizers and beer samples. Between stops, attendees will take part in a guided walking tour of downtown architecture. Downtown Earth Day The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden, the Science Center of Iowa, Riverwalk Hub and Iowa Rivers Revival are partnering to host Downtown Earth Day, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow. 'A Princess Mermaid Ballet'Ballet Des Moines will present a new production, "A Princess Mermaid Ballet," at 1 and 6:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Des Moines Civic Center. Mayor's Annual Ride and Run
The Mayor's Annual Ride and Run takes participants through and around downtown Des Moines. Mayor Frank Cownie will lead the 22-mile jaunt. The event kicks off at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow at Principal Park with a breakfast provided by Hy-Vee. Tickets are $50. Learn more
