The New York strip steak and Manhattan cocktail are part of a new special at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar. A Slice of Manhattan in the MidwestFleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar has rolled out a new special that brings a little taste of the East Coast to Des Moines. The upscale eatery is offering a nine-ounce New York strip steak frites paired with a Manhattan, made with Knob Creek rye and Luxardo cherries, for $35 per guest. Wine lovers can couple their meal with a glass of Daou cabernet sauvignon from Paso Robles instead. The deal is only available at the bar.
Limited-time specials have come to define this steakhouse chain restaurant. But the food delivers where it matters most: with the prime-grade steaks, seared at 1,600 degrees and full of bold, beefy flavor. The sides, such as creamed spinach and jalapeño-spiked potatoes, are indulgent. And remember Fleming’s bar menu for more casual nights — the steak sandwiches and prime burgers come reasonably priced for the quality rendered.
