Our World Food and Music Festival Dining Picks

There are more than 40 food vendors at this weekend's World Food and Music Festival at Western Gateway Park, who will cook up cuisine inspired by locations around the globe. All meals are $7 or less, and each place has a "taste" sample for $1. If you're unsure where to start, here are a few spots that caught our eye. Find the full food list here.

Caribbean Kitchen: Serving food from Jamaica, this spot has a couple of rice bowl options topped with jerk chicken, mango chicken or pineapple pork. Finish off the meal with a pineapple coconut lemonade. The taste item is jerk rice and beans.

Karam's Grill: Karam's Grill's headlining Mediterranean-inspired entree is a kefta kabob bowl, made with beef, lettuce, feta cheese, tomatoes and more. Of course, you can also get a lamb gyro, a crowd pleaser, as well as a falafel wrap. The taste item options are kefta kabob or chicken kabob.

Panka Peruvian Restaurant: A new addition to the festival lineup, Panka offers all kinds of traditional Peruvian food, including causa de pollo (mashed potato, layered with a homemade chicken salad and avocado). The taste item is chicha morada, a beverage made with purple corn and fruits and spices.
