Des Moines Beer Week will feature events hosted by establishments in the beer industry. What's on Tap? Des Moines Beer WeekEstablished in 2014, Des Moines Beer Week is one of the biggest celebrations of the area's growing craft beer scene. Businesses involved in the industry, including breweries, bars, restaurants and more, will hold events all week. The festivities will begin with a kickoff party from 4 to 8 p.m. today at El Bait Shop. The event is free, and attendees can participate in carnival games like a dunk tank and high striker. A few of Des Moines' beer professionals are volunteering to be dunked, adding to the fun. All proceeds from the games will be donated to Youth Emergency Services and Shelter. For Beer Week, a number of Iowa breweries collaborated to produce limited-time, unique craft beers. The kickoff event will be the first chance to try them out. For more information on the events on tap in the coming week, visit the Des
Moines Beer Week website.
