Jasper Winery Offers Pairing With Tasty Treats
Get in on the holiday spirit with some locally made spirits and desserts. Jasper Winery's annual Holiday Cookie and Wine Pairing event includes festive cookies paired with wine. The special is offered for both in-person and pickup options. The in-person choice includes four cookies from a local bakery paired with four of Jasper Winery's most popular wines for $20 per person. The take-home option includes wine pairing instructions with eight cookies and four canned wines for $40. The in-person pairing is only available by reservation. Call ahead at 515-282-9463 to pick up your at-home option. Limited quantities are available. Specials are available through Sunday.

Discussions centered on an idea for a video series telling the rich stories of Lincoln Savings Bank, which was created more than a century ago in small-town Lincoln, Iowa, with funny, spirited and informative tones. Holiday Shows at Noce
The jazz club Noce is continuing its run of holiday-themed shows this weekend, starting with "All I Want For Christmas" with Gina Gedler (pictured) at 9 p.m. today. Then, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. tomorrow is "A Freddy Gazzo Christmas," featuring Jason Danielson's arrangments, Freddy Gazzo and some of Iowa's best jazz musicians. Learn more

Merry & Bright
Des Moines Metro Opera is debuting its virtual holiday concert, "Merry & Bright," at 7 p.m. today, featuring holiday tunes sung by some of the Opera's favorite artists and the Heartland Youth Choir. The night will end with a virtual reception with the performers. The cost is $50 per
