Treat Mother With a Meal at Fleming's Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar has created a menu for Mother's Day this weekend. The three-course meal is available all day tomorrow (starting at 11 a.m.) and Sunday.
A roasted golden beet salad kicks off the
menu, with a blend of pistachio-crusted goat cheese, arugula, orange supremes, pistachio butter, pickled onions, lemon balsamic vinaigrette and balsamic glaze. Both entree choices feature a petite filet mignon—paired with either crab-stuffed shrimp scampi ($80) or lobster tail scampi ($90). Choose between the New York cheesecake, key lime pie or chocolate gooey butter cake for desert.

Lauridsen Skatepark Opening
The Lauridsen Skatepark will open this weekend after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4:30 p.m.
today. The facility will be open to the public from 5 to 10:30 p.m. today and 6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday, before closing to set up for the Dew Tour event scheduled for later this month. Read our May/June story about the skatepark here. Learn more.

Pella's annual festival Tulip Time kicked off yesterday and runs through tomorrow. There are food, vendors, volunteers in traditional Dutch attire and tulip gardens. Tickets can only be bought in person and prices range from $5 to $20. Masks are required for all patrons.
