Holiday Weekend DecompressionVisiting with
family over the Thanksgiving break can be great, of course, but it can also lead to some hectic times and stress. The Hall can help with that. The Valley Junction bar's Sunday Funday special includes 25 percent off all drinks, including beer, cocktails, wine and growlers. After a long few days, you might need one.
The Hall is a former rail car barn that has been transformed into a 280-seat modern beer hall. Food comes from a rotating roster of food trucks, with four at a time in residence. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine and craft cocktails. Community tables encourage you to make new friends.

The Iowa Events Center will be lit up with holiday cheer for the Festival of Trees and Lights this weekend. Enjoy food, entertainment and plenty of holiday decorating options while supporting Blank Children's Hospital. The festival will run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and tomorrow and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
