Splash Seafood Bar & Grill is celebrating its 21st anniversary in September. (Photo courtesy of Splash) Special Menu Celebrates Splash's 21st Birthday Splash Seafood Bar & Grill has been whipping up all things seafood and drinks in a modern, high-end space since it launched in downtown Des Moines 21 years ago. To commemorate its anniversary, Splash is offering a special menu through the month of September that showcases appetizers, main dishes, sides and cocktails.
The special features are served up fresh, just like the rest of Splash's menu. The Scallop Crudo (cured scallops, egg yolk torchon and local tomato cucumber relish) leads the
starters. There are three main dishes, but the filet medallions au poivre (two 5-ounce, peppercorn-crusted filet medallions with cognac Worcestershire reduction) for $54 caught our eye. The special drink option is the Japanese Rose Garden (Ty Ku black sake, rose syrup and pomegranate juice).
Splash is open 5-10 tonight and tomorrow, but is closed Sunday.
