Last Chance To Try Out Restaurant Week

Sunday is the final day for you to get out and enjoy limited-time menus at more than 50 local restaurants for dsm Restaurant Week.

Participating restaurants in this annual event are offering both dine-in and carryout options with customized menus. Dine-in dinner menus range from $30 to $35 per person, while carryout is $30. Lunches, both dine-in and carryout, are $15 per person.

Beer School

Smash Park and Confluence Brewing Co. are coming together to school you — on beer. The event, "Beer School," starts at 10 a.m. Sunday at Smash Park. Patrons will learn about various types of beer and brew methods from experts at Confluence. Breakfast cocktails and brews will be $2. Learn more
Vintage in the City

Antique shops from around Greater Des Moines are taking part in Vintage in the City, which starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Eleven stores are participating — eight in person and three online — including Hinge Valley Junction, Memory Lane and Hank's Fuzzy Guitars. Learn more
Big Blast Gala

The Science Center of Iowa has moved its annual signature fundraiser, the Big Blast Gala, online. Starting at 6:30 p.m. today, the organization will celebrate its 50th anniversary virtually, featuring live entertainment, speakers, activities and a silent auction. Tickets are $50. Learn more
Des Moines Wedding Show

Wedding professionals and vendors from around Iowa will come together for the Des Moines Wedding Show, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Scottish Rite Consistory. Admission is free, but a timed ticket is required to manage attendance and ensure social distancing. Learn more
