Jump Into Spring With Cocktails

Hello, Marjorie's new spring menu is out, and some of this downtown cocktail bar's classics are back, like the Editor's Note (bourbon, apricot liqueur, demara gum and apple bitters), an ode to the old Des Moines Register building, and the Marjorie (vodka, elderberry, pear and lemon).

New items on the menu include the Tournesol, made with gin, falernum, saffron and lemon, and the Fine Time Spritz (Aperol, Seedlip Grove 42, pear chardonnay cordial and Good News, Darling tonic).

Hello, Marjorie is also opening a new cocktail bar this weekend. Called Good News, Darling, the concept is described as a "small, experimental and detail-focused cocktail parlor," located right behind Hello, Marjorie. You can make reservations for today and tomorrow here.

See the full Hello, Marjorie menu here. Hello, Marjorie is open from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m. today and tomorrow. Take advantage of happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m.
