Veggie Thumper To Host Annual Fall Harvest
Veggie Thumper, a local vegan food truck, will host its fourth annual Fall Harvest event at 2 p.m. Sunday at Franklin Junior High School on the north side of Des Moines. The event will feature a fall-inspired vegan soul food menu. Included are fried green tomatoes, red beans and rice, collard greens, and cornbread, with sweet potato pie and maple bourbon pecan pie for dessert.

Taste of the Fair: Fall Edition
Let's do one more weekend, for good measure. Taste of the Fair: Fall Edition will wrap up with a final few days at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. The event, which aims to fill the void left by the canceled Iowa State Fair, started in August and was brought back in late September. The semiannual Waterbury Art Walk returns to the Waterbury Neighborhood at 11 a.m.-5 p.m. tomorrow and Sunday.
