Fleming's Makes the Sunday Table

Sunday night seems to be the sweet spot for Des Moines steakhouses. Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in West Des Moines has a new three-course meal deal called "The Sunday Table." You'll get your choice of salad and dessert (crème brûlée, carrot cake or key lime pie) along with an entree of slow-roasted beef tenderloin on top of Yukon gold mashed potatoes.

Of course, you could look anywhere on the Fleming's menu to find something delicious, with a variety of seafood, pork and chicken entrees. But it’s nearly impossible to pass up the steaks: lusty prime-grade beef, seared at 1,600 degrees and served on burn-your-fingers-hot plates. Equally irresistible are the indulgent sides, such as creamed spinach and jalapeño-sparked scalloped potatoes. Without exception, Fleming’s does wine right: Whether you want to splurge on a high-end bottle or go for something easier on the wallet, it’s nice to know that all wines are always served in peak condition at optimal temperatures.
