Winefest Des Moines is kicking off its 2019 event lineup with the Battle of the Bottles challenge. Battle of the Bottles ChallengeToday marks the
beginning of Winefest's new event, "Battle of the Bottles," a challenge encouraging people to try two different wines at any of the eight participating restaurants. Celebrating Winefest's 17th anniversary, the price of the two glasses is $17.
Participating restaurants include Alba, Aposto, Bubba, Cheese Shop and Cheese Bar (the same wines will be poured at both), Splash Seafood Bar and Grill, Table 128 and Teddy Maroon's.
After trying the two wines at any location, you can visit Winefest's website and vote for your favorite. Based on your votes, the 16 wines will be cut down to
eight, which will be served for the first round of the "Battle of the Bottles Wine Flight" event on March 28.
Those who visit more than two restaurants will be eligible to win two tickets to the wine flight event or four VIP tickets to the WIllis Grand Tasting on June 8.
