(Photo courtesy of VegLife Des Moines) Downtown Festival Features Food Fit for a Vegan One of the largest vegan events in Iowa, VeganFest, hosted by VegLife Des Moines, presents vegan-centric booths, cooking demonstrations and workshops on the first and second floors of the Capital Square atrium, 400 Locust St. There will also be food vendors and trucks outside on Cowles Commons.
The event starts at 11 a.m. tomorrow.
The first 150 people will receive a free swag bag. Admission is $5 for ages 18 and above and free for 17 and under.
Leading up to VeganFest, VegLife Des Moines toured some of Des Moines' favorite dining spots, which created special vegan menus. Stops along the Vegan Restaurant Tour included Table 128, Proof, Fong's Pizza and RōCA.
